VOA Shield™ is a travel delay reimbursement benefit available once eligibility requirements have been met. Specifically, the VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection program was created to cover those moments when your journey doesn’t go as scheduled.

If your flight is delayed by more than 60 minutes, eligible members may receive reimbursement for qualifying airport expenses, such as:

Your reimbursement amount is based on your VOA membership level. Furthermore, VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection ensures each tier receives tailored support during travel interruptions.

How to Qualify

VOA books flights directly with major airlines, allowing our team to monitor your itinerary, assist with schedule changes, and provide ongoing support throughout your journey. This process supports eligibility for VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection.

VOA does not book flights through third-party travel websites or online travel agencies.

Option 2: Book Directly With Your Airline

Prefer booking your own flights? If so, VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection remains available to you with proper documentation.

That’s perfectly fine.

Simply book directly with the airline and provide your itinerary to VOA at least 24 hours before departure. This ensures your VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection benefit is ready if needed.

Your itinerary should include:

• Airline
• Flight number(s)
• Departure dates
• Confirmation number

Providing this information allows our Travel Portfolio Management Team to:

• Monitor your flights
• Notify you of significant changes when possible
• Assist with disruptions
• Prepare for VOA Shield eligibility if delays occur and ensure all requirements for VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection are met

What Happens If Your Flight Is Delayed?

If your eligible flight experiences a delay of more than 60 minutes, you may enjoy airport dining or lounge access during your wait. This is another benefit of VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection for qualifying itineraries.

After your trip, simply send VOA:

• A copy of your airline boarding pass or ticket
• Your qualifying receipt(s)
• Any additional documentation requested to verify the delay for VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection

Once verified, reimbursement will be processed according to your membership level and the VOA Shield benefit available to you as part of the VOA Shield Travel Delay Protection program.

What If My Flight Is Cancelled?
